Mode Indicator: We set one persistent cookie to remember your encryption preference. This is considered strictly necessary as it determines core platform functionality.
3. Third-Party Cookies and Data Sharing
3.1 AI Model Providers
When AI features are enabled, limited cookie data may be processed by:
- OpenAI: Content moderation and GPT model access
- Anthropic: Claude interactions and safety checks
- Google: Gemini features and Vertex AI
- AWS/Google Cloud: Infrastructure and secure processing
Important: All providers are contractually prohibited from training on your data or using it for any purpose other than providing services to MyOrbit.
3.2 Safety Partners
- PhotoDNA: CSAM detection (hash matching only)

- Age estimation services: Child safety verification
- WebPurify: Additional content moderation
These services receive only the minimum data necessary for safety checks, never your full browsing history or personal information.
3.3 Business Partners

- Google Analytics: Anonymized usage analytics
- Cloudflare: Security and performance optimization
- SendGrid: Transactional email delivery
5. Cookies and Platform Economics
Why Cookie Choices Affect Features and Pricing
Our AI features require expensive API calls to frontier labs. Cookies help us:
- Cache responses to reduce redundant API costs
- Select the most cost-effective AI model for each task
- Track usage for accurate and fair billing
- Optimize performance to keep subscription prices low
If you disable AI feature cookies:
- Each interaction costs more (no response caching)
- We cannot optimize model selection
- Features may be limited to control costs
- Pay-per-use pricing may apply instead of flat rates
6. Cookie Data Retention
| Cookie Type | Duration | Purpose | Deletion |
|---|---|---|---|
| Session | Browser close | Temporary functions | Automatic |
| Authentication | 30 days | Security balance | On logout |
| Preferences | 1 year | User convenience | On request |
| Analytics | 90 days | Insights window | Automatic |
| Advertising | 30 days | Campaign tracking | On opt-out |
| AI Cache | 7-30 days | Cost optimization | Automatic |
