# Delete Your MyOrbit Account

## Delete Your MyOrbit Account

You can delete your MyOrbit account in the app, or request deletion by email if you no longer have the app.

### Delete your account in the app

1. Open MyOrbit.
2. Go to **More → Settings → “Data, device & account” → Account Actions → Delete Account**.
3. Type **DELETE** and tap **Delete My Account**.

### Request deletion without the app

Email [privacy@myorbit.ai](mailto:privacy@myorbit.ai) from the contact details on your account, and include the phone number registered with the account. Say that you are requesting deletion of your account.

### What deleting your account does today

Deleting your account signs you out everywhere, clears two private data sets, frees your phone number and email so they can be used to register a new account, and hides the account from lookups. Deletion cannot be undone.

**It does not yet erase the rest of your data.** A full wipe that removes your data across MyOrbit is planned but has not shipped, so most of your data is still held after you delete your account. Messages and conversations are not deleted, so other participants keep them.

Copies in backups roll out within about 7 days. Manual snapshots have no expiry policy, so your data is not gone from all copies. AI and model providers handle content sent to them under their published terms and the services as configured, and may retain it for safety, abuse prevention, or legal obligations. ### Subscriptions

Deleting your MyOrbit account does **not** cancel subscriptions billed through Apple or Google Play. Cancel those subscriptions separately through your Apple or Google account to stop store billing.
